Pray for the global ministries team in Uganda

Vintage Faith Church is having its first overseas short-term missions trip in February 2008. We will be partnering with Assist International by serving in Lira, Uganda.  Assist international is a humanitarian organization dedicated to relieving human suffering through various projects and resources. One of the main functions of the trip will be the construction of a home in the Otino Waa Family Village. Otino Waa in the native Luo language means "our children."  The vulnerable children who live here are mostly a result of the AIDS epidemic or as a result of the long civil war between the Ugandan government and the Lord's Resistance Army in the northern part of the country.

“We ask for your prayers.  This will undoubtedly be a life changing experience for everyone on the trip -- pray that God will use this timeto develop each of us into the followers of Christ that he designed usto be.  Please pray for our spiritual and physical protection.  We are confident that God is not taking us to Africa only to become sick orburdened down by spiritual attacks.  Please pray that we will be nothing more than vessels used for Christ and that all who we meet will know the life changing power of God’s love for them.” – Uganda Team

Our prayers will make a difference in Uganda. When we commit to prayfor the Uganda team, we become an extension of that team. If you pray, provide financially, or are in Uganda in February, you are part of the call to be a worshiping community of missional theologians globally.
